Card Renewal

Full privilege library cards expire every three years. Expired accounts in good standing may renew their library card. There is no charge to renew a library card.

Check Out Library Materials

A library card with Krum Public Library or any of the other NTLC libraries is needed to check out library materials. Krum Public Library allows up to 10 items to be checked out on a card at one time.

New "blockbuster" movies can be checked out for one week with the ability to renew one time so that we can make sure these popular movies are available for all of our patrons!

All other items can be checked out for a two week period and will auto-renew up to four times to avoid late fees. Items will not auto-renew if:

  • Another patron has placed a hold on the item
  • You have excessive fines
  • Your account has been barred
  • The renewal limit (4) has been reached

Renew Items

As long as there are no holds on the item, "blockbuster" movies can be renewed one time, and all other items can be renewed up to four times.

Items can be renewed in person, over the phone, or through your online Library Account.

To renew an item online, log in to your account at From the "My Account" page, select the "Items Checked Out" tab. Under "Current Items Checked Out," check the box next to all of the items you want to renew. Click "Go." The new due date will be displayed.
