VOLUNTEER

Opportunities

  • Krum Public Library welcomes volunteers to help with shelving, cleaning, and our programming.

  • We encourage adults who want to volunteer regularly to join our Friends of the Library.

Adults & Teens

  • Meet fellow library enthusiasts, acquire new skills, and give back to your community by volunteering! For teens, this is a great way to earn volunteer hours for NHS (or other school clubs) and learn skills that will translate well for job and college applications.

  • Hours are available on a first-come, first-served basis; there is no minimum-hour requirement for volunteers.

  • To volunteer, please bring a signed Volunteer Application and a signed Volunteer Conduct Agreement to the Library or email them to staff@krumlibrary.org.

Court-Ordered Community Service

  • Court-ordered community service usually involves more difficult tasks such as dusting, cleaning windows, and library maintenance. The Director reserves the right to refuse volunteer hours for court-ordered community service.

  • By policy, the Library does not take court-ordered community service workers with the following offense(s):

    • Sexual assault

    • Violent crimes

    • Grand theft

  • To complete hours at the Library, please call us directly for more information at (940) 482-3455.

LOBBY

Take-a-Book

  • The front lobby of the Library features multiple shelves with items that are free for the community to take home.

  • We appreciate any value donations to the Friends in exchange for any materials taken home.
