Mason’s Musings August 25th, 2023

Well it’s still miserable outside, surprise, surprise but next week might just be the turning point, fingers crossed. We’re going to see temperatures of 99°, 96°, and even 95°! How sad is it that just getting down into the 90’s is enough to make me sigh with relief? This summer has been long and hot and it’s nice to think that it might finally be coming to an end in the coming weeks.

Speaking of things coming to an end, our quilting bee is finishing the community quilt. It has been such a labor of love from start to finish and we are so excited to see it finally completed. It will be presented to city council on Tuesday, September 5th and will then be on display in the library. A warm thank you to everyone who participated in making the quilt squares and those who helped to quilt it. We are so proud to have such an active community.

Our dedicated patrons make events like this so much more fun and rewarding to plan, and we can’t wait to do more community projects in the future! Remember to stay chill and survive this week because cooler times are ahead of us. I can feel it.
