Mason’s Musings September 1st, 2023

Well, it seems my prediction from last week was dead wrong, the leaves have yet to turn and the sun still hurts my face. However, at least it isn’t as painful as it was through the entirety of summer, if that’s any consolation.

While we’re all still huddling inside around our AC’s, now is the perfect time to take advantage of one of our new, FREE resources. Our website now includes a new database– Transparent Language–for all library card holders to use. Transparent Language contains courses for over 124 different languages to learn including ASL (American Sign Language). It also caters to those learning English as a second language and has K-12 courses. All this and so much more is included with Transparent Language so if you’ve ever wanted to learn a new language now is the time to start!

We also have another free digital resource in the works for our patrons, but I won’t spoil the surprise until it’s ready to be unveiled. I hope you are all able to enjoy yourselves a little this week by getting outside and doing something fun, now that the sun will allow us. Have a great weekend and I’ll see y’all next week!
