MISSION STATEMENT
Who We Are

The Krum Public Library provides free services to all residents living within the state of Texas.
-
We are a part of the North Texas Library Consortium, a group of public libraries in North Texas that share resources. This expands our collection and gives you access to nearly 600,000 items including books, CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks.

MEMBERSHIP
Library Card

Any current resident of Texas is eligible for a free Krum Public Library card.

A valid government-issued photo ID and proof of Texas address are required to become a Library member.

Checkout Policy
-
Members may checkout up to ten items at a time for a period of two weeks (some exceptions apply).

Most items auto-renew for an additional two week loan period a few days before their initial due date.

If your item renews, you will receive an email with the new due date. If your item cannot renew automatically, you will receive an email reminder of the original due date. ​

Fines will be charged for items that are overdue, lost, or damaged.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION
The Krum Public Library experienced a cybersecurity incident on May 14, 2026, and has since confirmed that it was the victim of a sophisticated ransomware attack carried out by cybercriminal threat actors. The library immediately launched an investigation with the assistance of cybersecurity professionals and notified the appropriate authorities. While the investigation remains ongoing, the library is committed to transparency and keeping the public informed.
