Mason’s Musings February 25th, 2023

February is coming to a close and with that comes, (hopefully) some pleasant springtime weather! The groundhog may have said six more weeks of winter but I think I speak for all of us when I say we’re sick and tired of the cold. I’m ready to smell the floral scents of spring riding on a cool breeze. As we’re moving into March be sure to check out our curated Women’s History Month display at the front of the library. Learn about and appreciate all the trials and tribulations women have had to overcome throughout the years. In other news it seems that our issue with transits/holds has been resolved. Be aware though that it may not be 100% consistent. However, as always, if you have any problems don’t hesitate to call us and we’ll see what we can do on our side.

There are still many things that need ironing out with the new system. However slowly but surely, we are getting to a point where fewer and fewer complications come up. And so, we greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and hope it’s all going smoothly on your end!

Library Events 2/25 – 3/4:

Wednesday March 1st – Children’s Hour with Ms. Katie! Bring the little ones for story-time with Ms. Katie. Stories, songs, activities, and crafts are all part of the fun. Children’s Hour starts at 10:00 AM and occurs every Wednesday of each month (excluding January and August).

Saturday March 4th – Drop-in-Craft! Drop by any time between 11:00 AM-1:00 PM every first Saturday of the month and have fun creating our themed crafts! This month’s craft is a spring paper mosaic!

Upcoming Special Events:

Friday March 17th – Movie Magic. We have a very special event lined up for teens. Learn how to make your very own stop-motion animation short movie. All supplies will be provided by the library so that you can experiment to your heart’s content. The Movie Magic event starts at 3 PM and by the end of it you’ll have your own sharable mini movie!
