October 2021 Newsletter

Director's Corner Fall has officially arrived with Homecoming, Halloween and (hopefully) cooler weather. We are getting lots of new items in to help entertain you as the days get shorter and you spend more time indoors. The Krum Friends of the Library will be offering a Halloween Carnival on October 16th. We will also have our 3rd Wednesday HomeSchool Meet-Up and our weekly Wednesday morning Children’s Hour. Stop by Krum Public Library and see what is new!

Did You Know?

  • October is National Reading Group Month. It’s a great time to try out KPL’s Book Club!

  • In 1987 when KPL was 8 years old, nearly 5000 items were checked out for the year. Now in our 42nd year, we average a circulation of almost 2000 items each month! Thank you for helping us to grow!

Staff Pick from Donna

I recommend the psychological drama Behind the Red Door by Megan Collins. The main character thinks she knows a missing woman but can’t quite connect how or why she knows her. While trying to understand the possible connection, she explores her own past and confronts the trauma she finds there.
